The beginning

Pokémon is a childhood game to me that I love to this day.

The first one I played was Fire Red. I don't remember my team, only that I picked Bulbasaur and would spend hours trying to catch Mew, which never worked.
As a kid I would always go for fighting types, because in my head
fighting = more damage = best type. Nowadays if I were a gym leader I would probably be a bug or ghost user.

I also played a lot of rom hacks as a kid, and I thought they were real Pokémon games since I didn't know the difference at the time. I wondered why Pokémon had such vulgar language in it for a while.
Nowadays I play competitively though I'm not very good and usually lose. I also have a shiny collection at the bottom of the page.

Favorites

My favorite Pokémon of all time is Hitmonchan. You probably guessed that already considering I used to have one in my main page. When I first saw it I thought it was some kind of anime girl boxer Pokémon, because of the "chan" in the name, the eyes and the skirt.
My second favorite is probably Hypno. I love gen 1 Pokémon.
